"The first step toward success is taken when you refuse to be captive of the environment in which you find yourself" (Mark Caine)
This is the message our self help group would like to share with the women of Kibera in Nairobi Kenya, which is the largest slum in Africa. Our goal is to work towards the economic independence for the women by means of enabling them to create and sell traditional jewelry and handicrafts from Kenya.
We hope you will help raise awareness about this issue by subscribing to the blog and who knows... in doing so you may even contribute to helping us find the support we need to succeed!
(NB. this blog is set up as part of a course on social media. The content is fictive)
